THE HUMAN

Learning, to me, goes beyond understanding the mechanics of our environment. It includes the development of habits, such as self analysis, critical thinking, and empathy. The moment we came screaming into this world, our brains started making sense of things. What is love? What is trust? What are other people?

Stories that I really liked :-

The old man who spend 10 years in a solitary confinement cell.

"Either you're happy with very little, without overburdening yourself, because you have happiness inside, or you'll get nowhere."

- His idea of advocating sobriety.

- When we buy something we don't buy it with our money but time. This realisation gave me happiness inside. I know now where to spend the

time of my life.

Mid-aged married man who spent 13 years with his wife, loves her and says " We both are different person that's why we complete each other."

- He says his wife is a strong character, she is the one who guids the family and he loves her a lot.

- Breaking stereotype of only Man of the family can guide the family and take final decisions.

Bald old man who took care of his wife as a nurse at her last two years of life.

- His idea of true love.

- His dedication towards his marriage.

Stories that made me uncomfortable :-

A Kazakhstani women story

- Her being kidnapped by her future husband according to kazak tradition at the age of 19 with the blessing of her parents.

Mexican Man's story

- To a women, the word "NO" or "list of Nos" could not exist for her Man.

- Women should say pretty much "Yes" and only "Yes" to whatever she is

being asked to do by her man.

The man who has the feeling of killing another human being after being in combat.

- His desire of killing another human being.

- Him looking for a slightest chance of getting

into fight so that he can kill and fulfill his desire.

Story that I hated

Lesbian Women Story

- She had to leave her home and live on the streets because

of her grandmother not accepting her sexuality.

- She forced herself with other guys so that her granny can approve of her.

- She trusted her friend to help to pretend as her boyfriend but he forced himself

on her leaving her with HIV.

- She suffered all of this just to get the approval of her grandmother.

The Story of a girl Raped by her step father.

- The girl just turned 11.

- No trace of humanity left in that man.

Bangladeshi factory worker

- Not getting paid for his job

- Even after delivering high quality garment to the buyer

he did not get his salary.
